Marcus has over 20 years experience as an executive producer, lead producer and digital screen content expert.
He has a proven track record across story producing, creative producing and writing, combined with lead physical and creative producing experience putting Marcus in a unique position to understand the demands of domestic and international content delivery. He is an expert in financing, rights negotiation, distribution and the Australian Producer Offset.
Marcus works as a consultant with a range of clients including film and TV producers, directors, production companies and individuals. Areas of expertise include; budgeting, financing, setting up projects to leverage government tax incentives, as well as creative consulting.
Marcus has a Masters in Screen Business from AFTRS and a Masters in Media Production from UTS.
Marcus is a successful author with his 2004 book “Hands On - A guide to production and technologies for film, TV and new media”, used in numerous universities and colleges across Australia.
In 2013 he published his second book “Hands On - Tips and Experiences in All Media Producing”, a dissertation on his experiences producing multi-platform projects and several case studies of some of the world’s best all media projects.
He has published over 30 articles for screen industry publications.
