Forty-year old Jai is articulate and intelligent. As she takes us on a tour of her regular haunts in inner-Sydney, we learn how she survived, together with the disturbing mental health issues she faced. A chance meeting with a data scientist Mike Alwright, who runs a photography competition in his spare time, leads Jai on a journey of empowerment through the love of photography.
We walk with Jai towards her ultimate dream of putting on a solo exhibition and what that represents for her brighter future.
